Software

Non-CS-y stuff

You can download my public GPG key.

I am in no way associated with Ephemerality of Absent Dream, but I do think it's ridiculous that Google hasn't found it yet.

I write software on occasion; two projects I'm working on now are Watts, a music game, and wmsystray, a Window Maker dock app that provides a freedesktop.org System Tray Protocol compliant system tray area. I've also finally gotten around to starting the task of writing my own init scripts for my development machine.

I wrote a program called adxtowav that does something similar to all the other ADX to WAV converters out there, but it will also handle loops sanely. (By which I mean, it will actually loop the song, and fade out at the end.) You can find the source here, as well as a Windows binary (gasp!).

I've also released the gallery display script I use on my art page. It's written in Ruby. Use is described in the comment at the top of the file. (You'll also need to go through and edit the HTML it generates throughout the script if you're interested in using it.) Since 6 Dec (2005), I've made some changes which should make it easier if you want to provide descriptions for comments in different languages. For example, to add comments in Japanese (if that's not your "default" language), add a file picture.desc.ja; the Japanese comment will display if you use gallery.cgi?lang=ja&...

I also occasionally write patches against other people's software.

Believe it or not, computer science and programming are relatively new developments in my life. I occasionally do non-techy stuff, like draw.

I run a Beatmania/IIDX information page called ROOTS26. (I'm going to redo the layout shortly and combine it with the Pop'n info I've been gathering soon.)

Lately, I've been taken with Touhou. If you don't know about Touhou, girls are now preparing, please wait patiently until they are ready. (It's a game and comic and music and short story series done by one man, and that's the link to the English language wiki.)
